Information you provide

Profile information:

• First and last name
• Age range
• Gender
• Connection preferences (e.g., professional, platonic, romantic)

• Home airport (base)
• About/bio section
• Optional: interests, ethnicity

Trip information (manually entered by you):

• Departure airport and date
• Layover airport and date (if applicable)
• Arrival airport and date
• Type of connection you're open to

Communications:

• Messages sent through the app after a mutual connection is accepted

Information collected automatically

• Device information (device type, operating system, identifiers)
• Usage data (features used, time spent in app)

almost does not use real-time GPS or location tracking.

Instead:

• You manually enter your trip details (airports + dates)
• You select the type of connection you're open to
• We show you travelers whose trips overlap with yours and who share your connection preferences
• Both users must mutually agree to connect before messaging is enabled

You are only visible to others when your trips overlap and preferences align.

You are always in control of your visibility.

We use your information to:

• Enable connections between travelers
• Facilitate mutual connections and messaging
• Improve and optimize the app experience
• Communicate updates and support responses
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

• Matched users: Your profile is visible only to users with overlapping trips and shared preferences

almost does not track your real-time location.

• No GPS or background tracking
• All location data is manually entered
• We store only airport codes and dates you provide
• You are never automatically tracked

We retain data as long as necessary to provide the service.

• Active accounts: data is retained while your account is active
• Trip data: stored based on current and recent activity
• Deleted accounts:
  • Profile data removed within 30 days
  • Messages may be retained for up to 90 days
  • Some data may be retained for legal compliance

However, no system is completely secure.

almost is intended for users 18 and older.

We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If discovered, such data will be deleted.
